Announcements

New updates and improvements to DocsCloud.

  1. We have released a new feature - 'Watermark' in the DocShare & the DocTemplate module.

Watermark allows you to define the static or the dynamic (based on the values in the variables) watermark on the templates and documents.

This is extremely relevant to protect content and claim the ownership of the asset when sharing with a third party.

In the coming days, we will release an API service that will allow you to place the watermark on the documents outside DocsCloud. Users can send the document (PDF) link and the preferred watermark details to the DocsCloud endpoint. As a response, we will send the watermarked document (PDF) link back to you.

    That's it for now.

We will be back soon with more exciting updates.

  2. Today we released our first important update to the Business Flows module. With this release, Business Flows now offers you,

    • Form & Template variables as a part of the notification emails.
    • You can choose the preferred output format from the DocExtractor module when used in the Business Flow
    • The reviews no longer required login into the DocsCloud platform for reviewing the transaction. We have added the review link in the emails. Just click on the link and take the relevant action on the transaction.
    • Until now, a Form can be mapped to one or many templates. On submission, all mapped templates were getting generated. Now you can define the conditional mapping based upon the form data. Once the condition is met, a relevant template will get triggered. This flexibility is only available in the Business Fow and not available in the standalone form option.
    • Business Flow now has new actions that correspond to the DocSignature module.

    That's it for now.

We will be back soon with more exciting updates.

  3. The DocsCloud platform will now automatically auto-save your Editor content at a one-minute frequency — no more panic when you wrongly close the DocsCloud window or the sudden shutdown of the laptop.

There is no impact or change at the UI level. The auto-save feature will be available in the following modules,

    • DocTemplate - Editor
    • DocSignature - Editor
    • DocShare - Editor

    That's it for now.

We will be back soon with more exciting updates.

  4. We are glad to introduce DocShare to the DocsCloud family. DocShare is the next version of DocPublisher. With this release, we are sunsetting the existing version of DocPublisher.

    What exactly is DocShare?

Consider DocShare as the DocPublisher v2.0. With the DocShare, you can,

    1. Along with the available option of Editor and Upload (from the local system), we have released a new option to fetch the document from any online source by providing the complete public path of the document.

    2. Folder is renamed as Space. Space no longer shows the book-shelf design.

    3. Access and privacy controls are now shifted at the URL level from the document level. This means you can now define multiple (different) URLs on the same document. Based upon the defined controls, each URL will behave differently despite using the same base document.

    4. Introducing 'watermarks'. You can now put the static/dynamic watermark on the documents. The dynamic watermark will get created based upon the selected parameters thus a different watermark can be configured for each viewer.

    That's it for now.

We will be back soon with more exciting updates.

  5. We are happy to introduce the recent advancements in the 'Conditional Logic' section inside the DocTemplate modules.

    With this improvement, you can,

    1. You can replace the incoming text.

If Var-1="a", you can replace "a" with "b". Now the placeholder text (Var-1) in the template will get filled by "b" instead of "a", which was sent in the request.

    2. Derived content. You no longer need to be dependent upon the incoming variables. You can now derive the content based upon the available data.

If your template has two variables (Var-1 & Var-2), you can define a logic that says if Var-1="a", Var-2 should be "b". This way, even if you are not receiving the value in Var-2, you can populate the placeholder based upon the other variables.

    3. Nested Condition

You can now use two variables in your condition using the AND / OR logic. The nested option gives you more flexibility and the option to extend the logic.

    That's it for now.

We will be back soon with more exciting updates.

  6. We are happy to announce the initial release of the Business Flow module.

Business Flow allows you to automate various tasks related to DocsCloud modules and allows external connectivity (e.g. Webhook integration) to reduce your dependency on automation platforms. Along with this, we are bringing in an approval workflow without charges.

This release is an initial release, and the module will undergo series of advancements in the next couple of weeks. We will continue adding more actions as well.
